Lahore Qalandars Team 2019 Players List
Lahore Qalandars PSL 2019 Squad
PSL Lahore Qalandars roster 2019 is placed Here. The big question is if the Lahore Qalandars can go all the way and make it their first ever title in the PSL and for that they look like they have the line-up. However, their struggles in the first three seasons of the tournament have been well-chronicled and as a result, they have made a few changes to their squad before the Draft already.
The Lahore Qalandars let go of Brendon McCullum. This has been a very interesting call in that McCullum has been a champion cricketer and leader but with the side not having done too, the time had come to make that call. The Qalandars have also brought in Hassan Khan and Rahat Ali and let go of Sunil Narine and Umar Akmal to the Quetta Gladiators.
Among other players who were retained from the other season, the one player who would be on everyone’s watch-list will be Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman, who is a Platinum pick for the season.
There was just one Diamond category cricketer in the form of Yasir Shah while New Zealand batting all-rounder Anton Devcich, and fast bowlers Rahat Ali and Shaheen Afridi were a part of the Gold Category.
Three players, Hassan Khan, Agha Salman and Sohail Akhtar were all retained from the Silver category.
In the latest news, Lahore Qalandars will be without their key player Haris Sohail in this edition of the PSL. Sohail has failed to recover from the knee injury that beset him before the series against South Africa.
Lahore Qalandars also brought in Hardus Viljoen and David Wiese in the Replacement Draft who will play if AB de Villiers, Corey Anderson and Carlos Brathwaite don’t figure in all their matches.

Key Players on Lahore Qalandars Team 2019
AB de Villiers: It’s tough not to say that AB de Villiers is the player to watch out in this entire tournament, not just for the Qalandars. While he will be playing in just the league stage of the tournament, he will look to make it count and stir up the Lahore side which has struggled in recent time. De Villiers comes into the PSL with some brilliant BPL form.
Fakhar Zaman: Having become the first ever Pakistani batsman to score a 200 to his name, Fakhar Zaman’s bludgeoning batting style has endeared him to millions of Pakistani fans. He will look to continue batting in the same fashion but more vitally, his partnerships with de Villiers will ones to watch.
Shaheen Afridi: Shaheen Shah Afridi came into the reckoning with the previous PSL and so much has changed for him since. Not only has he become a regular in the Pakistan national side, he has also been one of their most successful bowlers in recent times which has been a meteoric rise for this youngster.
The Lahore franchise was bought by the Qatar Oil Group for a princely sum of $2.4 million (USD). They have been able to pool some of the best talents from within Pakistan as well as world cricket as the world gets ready for the 3rd season of the Pakistan Super League.
