Karachi Kings PSL 2019 Squad
PSL Karachi Kings team 2019 roster is placed here After having had a couple of really underwhelming seasons, the Karachi Kings came back to give themselves some chance in the third season of the Pakistan Super League but can they now go the distance in this season four?
Going into the PSL Draft, teams were allowed 10 players to be retained and the Karachi Kings decided to use eight of those options. Leading the list of the retained players is pace bowler Mohammad Amir and Babar Azam, one of the best batsmen in the world in current times and both were included in the Platinum category.
Other than that, Diamond category players included Pakistan’s Usman Khan and South Africa’s Colin Ingram, as would captain Imad Wasim. While Imad’s bowling skills have pushed him to be one of the top spinners in the world, his batting and captaincy will be tested too.
The players in the Gold category will be Mohammad Rizwan and Ravi Bopara, retained from last year after a decent showing too.
In what came as very interesting news, legendary all-rounder Shahid Afridi was let go by the side and he won’t be featuring for them any more.

Key Players on Karachi Kings Team 2019
Babar Azam: With comparisons with the best batsman in the world, Virat Kohli, already rife, Babar Azam can make this PSL his own with a strong performance to book in the lead-up to the World Cup. He holds Pakistan’s chances in the World Cup, which is why a good showing here should keep him and his side in good stead in that tournament.
Colin Munro: A poor ODI record for Colin Munro means he might struggle to make the New Zealand squad for the World Cup but if he can get going in the PSL this season, who knows it might turn things around in his favour during the World Cup too?
Imad Wasim: Captain of the side and till recently one of the best bowlers with the new ball in this format. However, he has also added some batting strength, scoring back to back 40’s in the ODI series and he will want that batting form to continue during the PSL too.
The side was bought by Salman Iqbal owned Any Media Group for a whopping price of $2.4 million US dollars. They have appointed former South African international coach Mickey Arthur as their manager while former Pakistan leg-spinner Mushtaq Ahmed will serve as his assistant and bowling coach.
